What crappy weather this summer! It rains almost every day! It really limits what we can do outside together. You love going for quad rides but we can't do that in the rain. And it's cold too!

The other day after you went to bed there was a very pretty rainbow. I guess that is one good thing about all this rain.

Today you helped me make blueberry muffins! MMMMMMmmmm when they cool off you can have one!

You are such a curious little boy Cody. You want to do everything that Mommy does. You follow me around the house and like to stick your nose in every nook and cranny to see what you can discover.
You have not been sleeping so great this week. Mommy is tired. I don't know if it has something to do with the immunizations you received this week or not. Today we are stuck in the house. It has been pouring rain for several hours now and there is no way we can go out. Usually Mommy takes you for a walk and a quad ride, but not today.
Here you are helping Mommy with the beans from the garden and enjoying an apple.

Places to Play

Out of all the places there are to play, you always seem to wind up in the pantry, the closet or the bathroom. You have lots of toys which you like to scatter everywhere, but rather than play with those you play with boxes, bowls, cans, toilet paper and more! I guess that is all part of your curiosty. But it makes lots of work for Mommy! Here you are in the pantry again!

Max the Moose

So we have had Max, our Rottweiler for about 2 years and he really is an awesome dog. However, he is a roamer and a garbage picker so I have been tying him up at nights so he will stay out of the neighbours garbages. I got this kennel to contain him instead of tying him up. Well, so I thought. Since I have been putting him in it he always seems to find a way out! Some mornings when I think he is in there, he is actually bouncing around on the porch!
So anyway the other night I watched him try to get out and I saw how he was doing it. He was using his feet to reach between the door and the frame to pry it open. I actually videoed it. So I went out there and put 2 bungee straps around the door to prevent him from getting out. The first night it worked. The second night...well this is what I woke up to! He actually busted it off the hinges instead. And again was bouncing around on the porch telling me he outsmarted me. That bugger!
